How to choose, quickly:

Is 40 mm enough for your everyday work?

No
the EVO 3 opens beyond 40 mm without the weight of a 45.
Yes
the EVO 2 adds the anti-cut sensor, soundproofing and 170 grams less with the battery, at the same runtime.

RECOMMENDED USE

EVO 3

Two millimetres more that you don't pay for in weight.

When there are many branches right at the 40 mm limit, every missed cut is one more stroke with the saw. The EVO 3 opens 42 mm at 880 grams: a 45 weighs 1000 or more. 4 Ah batteries and a carbon pole: you close the day without going back.

Frequently asked questions

People also ask

What are the Falco EVO 3 42 mm shears recommended for?
It is designed for those who work at a high pace in intensive olive groves and orchards and often reach the limit of a 40 mm. It offers a 42 mm opening with a traditional blade movement optimised for productivity on large volumes.
How does it differ from other similar models?
Compared with the SW-768 (also 42 mm), the EVO 3 has a traditional blade movement instead of the double closure: it is designed for those who want speed and high hourly output on large volumes, while the SW-768 favours a gentle cut on sensitive plants.

Compared with the PRU-40, you gain 2 mm of extra opening for branches at the 40 mm limit. Compared with the PRU-45 PLUS, you have a smaller opening (42 mm vs 45 mm) but a lower weight (880 g vs 1050 g).
Is it heavy to use all day?
No: they are designed with a weight balance studied for prolonged use. The weight is well distributed, so even after hours of work they remain easy to handle, especially if you use the cable and shoulder-strap battery.
Is it compatible with the telescopic pole?
Yes, it is compatible with the carbon EVO Pro pole, the same pole used by the Falco EVO 2. It is the only pole designed for these two models, and should always be included in the quote together with the shears.
Service and spare parts?
